The resolution celebrates the Tyler Junior College (TJC) men's tennis team's remarkable achievement in winning the 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I championship. Competing against top junior college teams from across the nation at the tournament held in Florence, South Carolina, from May 12 to 16, the TJC Apaches showcased their dominance by securing first place in singles flight No. 5 and sweeping all three doubles flights. With a total of 42 points, they outperformed the runner-up, Barton Community College, marking their second consecutive national title and the 20th in the program's history.

Additionally, the resolution highlights the individual accomplishments of the team members, with six players earning First Team All-American honors, including Daniel Mauricio Marincas and Alex Morris in doubles. The team received strong support from other players and was led by interim head coach Micah Avance, who was recognized as the NJCAA Coach of the Tournament. The Texas Senate expresses its congratulations to the TJC men's tennis team, wishing them continued success and preparing an official copy of the resolution as a token of high regard.
