The resolution honors the life and legacy of Sally Ann Pruitt, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Minden, Louisiana, on August 18, 1953, she was the daughter of Charles and Bettye Cundiff and grew up with two brothers. Sally developed a passion for horses and barrel racing during her youth and later moved to Tyler, Texas, where she worked in various roles, including at Red Barn Flower and Gift Shop and CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System, before retiring from Target. She was married to Dale Pruitt until his passing in 2023 and was a devoted mother to her two children, Celeste and Jonathan, and a proud grandmother to three grandchildren.

Sally Pruitt was known for her strong faith and was an active member of Trinity Fellowship Church and Cornerstone Church of the Assemblies of God. She cherished her time spent with family and friends, and her love for horses remained a significant part of her life. The resolution expresses condolences to her family, including her children, grandchildren, and brother, and acknowledges the respect and admiration she earned from those who knew her. The Texas Senate will adjourn in her memory, and an official copy of the resolution will be prepared for her family.
