The resolution honors the life and legacy of Ronald Davis Denney Sr., who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 92. Born in Marshall on October 13, 1932, Mr. Denney served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War before returning to establish Denney's Cleaners, where he built strong relationships with his customers. He was married to Jacquelyn Hartley for over six decades, and together they raised two children, Cheryl and Ronald. Mr. Denney was also a proud grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, enjoying a rich family life.

A man of deep faith, Mr. Denney was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church and served as a lay reader. He had a variety of interests, including golf, tennis, ham radio operation, model airplane building, and ballroom dancing. The resolution expresses heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, recognizing Mr. Denney's devotion to his loved ones and the positive impact he had on those around him. The Texas Senate will prepare an official copy of the resolution for his family and will adjourn in his memory.
