She was a dedicated first- and second-grade teacher at Wilma Magee Elementary School in Corpus Christi for 20 years, where she was known for creating a supportive learning environment and actively participating in school activities. A woman of faith, she was involved in her church communities both in Corpus Christi and Clyde, Ohio.
