The Senate of the State of Texas has passed a resolution recognizing YES to YOUTH Montgomery County Youth Services for its significant contributions to empowering young citizens, strengthening families, and saving lives in Montgomery County. Established over 45 years ago, YES to YOUTH has evolved from a small, volunteer-led agency into a comprehensive support network for children and families facing challenges such as mental health issues, abuse, neglect, homelessness, and human trafficking. The organization operates the BridgeWay Youth Shelter in Conroe, which is the only licensed youth shelter in the area that accommodates a diverse range of youth clients, providing essential services and support to those under the conservatorship of Texas Child Protective Services.

Additionally, YES to YOUTH offers a Youth and Family Services program staffed by licensed counselors who provide immediate support and trauma-informed counseling to families in crisis. The program includes a 24-hour crisis hotline and promotes mental health awareness and suicide prevention in local schools. The resolution commends the organization for its role as a trusted resource and safe haven for many, acknowledging the efforts of all individuals involved in its mission to restore hope and futures for young citizens and families in the community. A copy of the resolution will be prepared as a formal expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
