He was married to Mary Lou Pollard for nearly seven decades and was a proud father to two daughters, Luanne and Jennifer, as well as a grandfather and great-grandfather to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his professional achievements, Jones was known for his strong faith and community involvement, including his service as a Mason and a Shriner, where he helped transport children in need of medical care.
