The Senate of the State of Texas has passed a resolution recognizing the men's rodeo team at Tarleton State University for their remarkable achievement in winning the national championship at the 2025 College National Finals Rodeo. The team, consisting of athletes Montgomery Parsons, Coleman Shallbetter, Bailey Small, Waitley Sharon, Landris White, and Brayden Roe, showcased exceptional skill and determination, scoring 250 points ahead of the runner-up. Their performances in various events, including saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, and tie-down roping, exemplified their dedication and athletic prowess.

The resolution also highlights the leadership of head coach Mark Eakin and associate head coach Brittany Stewart, who guided the team to uphold a proud tradition of excellence in collegiate rodeo. The Senate commends the team for their outstanding discipline, sportsmanship, and representation of Tarleton State University, one of the nation's largest and most successful rodeo programs.
