The resolution recognizes Brandi Spieth from San Antonio for her achievement as a member of the Texas Partners in Policymaking Class of 2025, a leadership training program organized by the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities. This program aims to empower individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to become advocates for policy change. Over seven months, participants learn about disability history, systems, and policy, and many graduates have gone on to serve on various boards and councils or even run for public office.

Brandi Spieth, a mother of four with three children who have disabilities, became involved in advocacy after witnessing the challenges faced by her children and others in similar situations. Her capstone project, Project ABLE, focuses on identifying medical providers experienced with the intellectual and developmental disability population and creating a social media platform to share educational resources. With 22 years of experience as a pediatric speech language pathologist and a certified lactation consultant, she currently works in a children's hospital. The resolution congratulates her on her graduation from the program and expresses best wishes for her future endeavors.
