Brenda was dedicated to her faith from a young age, actively participating in her father's church, St. Luke Baptist Church. She graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Lamar University. Brenda was married to Reverend Randy G. Vaughn, with whom she raised four children and enjoyed the joy of 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Brenda Vaughn was committed to her community, working in various roles including as a business retention and expansion specialist for the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation and a deputy municipal court clerk. She also had a fulfilling career with American Airlines and Envoy Air, and served as a substitute teacher. In addition to her professional endeavors, she was actively involved in ministry at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church and contributed to numerous local civic organizations and charities.
