The resolution recognizes the inaugural Texas Spanish Spelling Bee, organized by the Education Service Center Region 19, scheduled for June 18 and 19, 2025, at the Starlight Event Center in El Paso. This event will gather fourth- through eighth-graders from across Texas to showcase their spelling abilities while engaging in various activities that celebrate the cultural heritage of El Paso. The top performers will have the opportunity to advance to the National Spanish Spelling Bee in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In addition to highlighting the students' spelling skills, the Texas Spanish Spelling Bee aims to foster confidence, academic excellence, and cultural exchange among participants. The resolution expresses the Senate's recognition of the week of June 16, 2025, as Texas Spanish Spelling Bee Week and extends best wishes to the organizers and participants for a successful and enjoyable event.
