H.R. No. 1126 is a resolution recognizing the 50th anniversary of Leadership Dallas, a program founded in 1975 by the Dallas Chamber of Commerce to cultivate local visionary and service-oriented leaders. The program, which runs for 10 months, brings together 55 young businesspeople and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds each year to discuss critical community issues such as health care, public policy, economic development, education, the arts, and the criminal justice system. Over the past five decades, Leadership Dallas has trained more than 2,300 participants, many of whom have gone on to serve on local boards and commissions, while maintaining connections through the Leadership Dallas Alumni association.
The resolution honors the members of the Leadership Dallas Class of 2025 during their visit to the State Capitol on May 13, 2025, and acknowledges the significant impact the program has had on its members and the broader community. It expresses the Texas House of Representatives' high regard for the contributions of Leadership Dallas and its participants, culminating in the preparation of an official copy of the resolution for the group.
