The resolution congratulates Dustin R. Womble on his election as vice chair of the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents, a position he assumed on April 14, 2025. Mr. Womble has been a member of the board since his initial appointment by Governor Greg Abbott in 2019 and has been reappointed in March 2025. He has held various roles within the board, including chair of the Facilities Committee and participation in the Finance & Investments and Audit Committees. Mr. Womble is a Texas Tech University alumnus, graduating magna cum laude in 1981 with a degree in business administration. He founded Interactive Computer Designs during his time at university and later sold the company to Tyler Technologies, where he served as executive vice president until his retirement in 2016. Currently, he is a partner at Masked Rider Capital and chair of Service Compression, LLC.
