S.C.R. No. 49 is a Senate Concurrent Resolution commemorating the 100th anniversary of Austin Oaks Church, which was originally founded as the Swedish Evangelical Free Church of Austin on August 16, 1925. The church has a rich history, having transitioned from conducting services in Swedish to English in the late 1930s and relocating several times before settling at its current campus in southwest Austin in 2002. In 2014, the church adopted its present name, Austin Oaks Church, and has since continued to thrive under the leadership of pastors Brandon Zieske and BJ Forguson, offering a variety of ministries and outreach programs to its congregation.
