H.R. No. 711 is a resolution celebrating the 50th anniversary of Williamson County Emergency Medical Services (WCEMS) in 2025. Established in 1975 with a modest team of 16 employees and 4 ambulances, WCEMS has grown significantly to a staff of 177 and a fleet of 25 emergency response vehicles. The agency has received numerous accolades, including recognition from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services and the Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Plus Award from the American Heart Association. Under the leadership of Director John Gonzales, WCEMS has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing high-quality medical care and saving lives in the community.

To commemorate its milestone, WCEMS is organizing various events throughout 2025, including a blood drive, 50 CPR classes for local businesses and nonprofits, a 5K run, and a Trunk or Treat event. The resolution expresses the Texas House of Representatives' congratulations to WCEMS for its dedication and contributions to the community, extending best wishes for its continued success. An official copy of the resolution will be prepared as a token of appreciation for the agency's invaluable efforts.
