The resolution commemorates the 50th anniversary of Williamson County Emergency Medical Services (WCEMS) in 2025, recognizing its significant contributions to the community since its establishment in 1975. Initially starting with 16 employees and 4 ambulances, WCEMS has grown to a staff of 177 and a fleet of 25 emergency response vehicles. The agency has received numerous accolades, including recognition from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services and the Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Plus Award from the American Heart Association, under the leadership of Director John Gonzales.

To celebrate this milestone, WCEMS is organizing various events throughout 2025, including a blood drive, 50 CPR classes for local businesses and nonprofits, a 5K run, and a Trunk or Treat event. The resolution expresses the Texas House of Representatives' congratulations to WCEMS and its staff for their unwavering dedication to saving lives and providing high-quality medical care, and it calls for an official copy of the resolution to be prepared as a token of esteem for the agency.
