He and his wife operated Ruben's Body Shop for nearly sixty years, earning recognition for their service and community engagement.
Ruben was a man of faith, actively involved in St. Pius X Catholic Church, and was known for his musical talent as an accordion player. He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling to casinos, and collecting classic cars. The resolution expresses condolences to his family, including his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and acknowledges the lasting legacy he leaves behind. An official copy of the resolution will be prepared for his family, and the Texas House of Representatives will adjourn in his memory.
