S.B. No. 2569 amends the reporting requirements for law enforcement agencies in Texas regarding their use or operation of unmanned aircraft. The bill removes the previous requirement for agencies to issue written reports to the governor, lieutenant governor, and members of the legislature. Additionally, it eliminates the obligation to retain the report for public viewing, streamlining the process to focus on online accessibility. The act will take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote from both houses; otherwise, it will become effective on September 1, 2025.
