The new provision specifies that governmental bodies are not authorized to withhold a date of birth, except in certain circumstances. The bill clarifies that the changes will only apply to requests for information received by governmental bodies on or after the effective date of the Act. Requests received prior to this date will continue to be governed by the existing law. The Act is set to take effect immediately if it secures a two-thirds majority vote in both houses; otherwise, it will take effect on September 1, 2025.
