The resolution honors the life and memory of Sulynn Elliott Bledsoe, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Odessa on May 1, 1950, she was the daughter of Peggy Hale Elliott and Jimmie Franklin Elliott and grew up with three siblings. After graduating from Iraan High School, she pursued higher education at Texas A&I University and The University of Texas at Arlington. Sulynn married Bill Bledsoe in 1970, and together they raised two children, Lance and Rebecca, and welcomed a grandson, Colton, and a great-grandson, Cinch. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Emma and Camden Bledsoe.

Throughout her life, Sulynn was dedicated to her community, working as a substitute teacher and later at Bank of America, before co-owning Texas Legato Winery with her husband. She was known for her warm and caring nature, generosity, and devotion to family, often volunteering with her church and local organizations. The resolution expresses heartfelt sympathy to her family, including her husband, children, siblings, and grandchildren, and concludes with a request for an official copy of the resolution to be prepared for her family, as well as a moment of remembrance in the Texas House of Representatives.
