The resolution honors Aarieanna Ware, who was crowned Miss Texas USA 2024 and is visiting the State Capitol in Austin to celebrate Miss Texas Day on March 28, 2025. Ms. Ware is notable for being the third African American woman to hold the title in 73 years, having impressed judges at the competition on June 22, 2024, and subsequently placing in the top 10 at Miss USA 2024. At just 19, she completed a four-year apprenticeship in sustainable homebuilding and has since become a leader in environmentally friendly construction as the owner of Kenmare Homes in Dallas. She is also pursuing a master's degree in elementary education while actively expanding her business.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Ware is dedicated to mentoring young women in STEM fields through her Build it Up program and engages in philanthropic efforts with the Boys and Girls Club of Texas, promoting literacy among children. The resolution expresses the Texas Senate's congratulations to Ms. Ware for her accomplishments and contributions to her community, as well as their best wishes for her future success.
