Senate Resolution No. 186 recognizes the Montgomery Independent School District (MISD) on its 100th anniversary, celebrating its rich history and contributions to education in the community. Despite initial challenges, MISD gained community support and expanded significantly, particularly after the development of Lake Conroe in 1973, which allowed for the growth of its facilities and educational offerings. Today, MISD serves nearly 10,000 students across 11 campuses while maintaining its commitment to small-town values and academic excellence.
