H.B. No. 3270 amends the Occupations Code to specify the periods during which retail fireworks permit holders are allowed to sell fireworks to the public. The bill introduces new sales periods, including from February 25 to March 2, April 16 to April 21, May 1 to May 5, the Wednesday before the last Monday in May to the last Monday in May, June 24 to July 4, and five days before to the last day of Diwali. Additionally, the existing provision allowing sales from December 20 to January 1 remains, but the previous stipulation regarding sales near the Texas-Mexico border has been removed.

Furthermore, the bill repeals Section 2154.202(h), which previously contained additional conditions for fireworks sales. The changes aim to clarify and expand the timeframe for fireworks sales, making it easier for permit holders to operate within defined periods. The new regulations will take effect on September 1, 2025.
