Dorothy married George Alexander Fox Jr. in 1942, and together they raised two daughters, Carolyn and Pam, while moving between various Texas cities, including Austin, Cisco, and Abilene. Throughout her life, she was surrounded by a large family, including eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was known for her devout faith and musical talent, playing the piano by ear, and she actively participated in several churches, even helping to establish a congregation in Austin. Her creative pursuits included sewing and painting. The resolution expresses heartfelt condolences to her family, including her daughters, grandchildren, and other relatives, and acknowledges the lasting impact she had on their lives.
