The resolution honors Candy Gibbs for her 30 years of dedicated service with Hope Choice Pregnancy Centers and Mentoring Programs in Amarillo, Texas. Established in 1987, Hope Choice provides vital support and mentorship to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Mrs. Gibbs joined the organization in 1995 as a receptionist and has since risen to the position of executive director. Throughout her tenure, she has significantly impacted the lives of thousands of women, helping them choose alternatives to abortion and serving over 200,000 clients in total.

Under her leadership, Hope Choice has expanded to five centers and developed seven mentoring programs, including faith-based initiatives and youth programs. Additionally, Mrs. Gibbs has authored two parenting books and a mentoring curriculum, and she founded Rise Camp for students in the Panhandle in 2020. The resolution commends her exceptional contributions to the organization and expresses the Texas House of Representatives' best wishes for her future endeavors.
