The Texas House of Representatives has passed a resolution congratulating Kade and Morgan Hodges, a husband and wife ranching team from Sterling City, for receiving the American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers Achievement Award at the AFBF Convention in San Antonio on January 27, 2025. This prestigious national award recognizes young farmers and ranchers who excel in their agricultural operations and demonstrate exceptional leadership. The Hodges operate Hodges Livestock, raising Royal White sheep, commercial goats, and Angus-cross cattle, and they also provide vegetation management services to solar farms through targeted sheep grazing.

Kade Hodges, a sixth-generation rancher, and his wife Morgan are both deeply rooted in agricultural heritage and actively involved in various agricultural organizations. Kade serves in multiple leadership roles, including vice president of the Coke-Sterling County Farm Bureau and vice chair of the Sterling County Underground Water Conservation District. Morgan is treasurer of Concho Valley CattleWomen and has held significant positions within the Texas Farm Bureau. The resolution expresses the Texas House's admiration for their contributions to the agricultural community and extends best wishes for their continued success. An official copy of the resolution will be prepared for the Hodges as a token of high regard.
