S.B. No. 1265 amends the Labor Code by adding Section 302.0064, which mandates the Texas Workforce Commission to create and maintain a dedicated web page on its website. This page will provide comprehensive and current information to assist employers in helping their employees who are parents access child care resources. The information will include details on child-care assistance, best practices for supporting parent employees, available state and federal tax credits, dependent care savings accounts, free tools or templates, and policies that employers can adopt to facilitate access to child care.

Additionally, the new section specifies that the web page must include a disclaimer stating that the commission does not provide legal advice and that employers are not obligated to implement any policies or benefits listed unless required by other laws. The Texas Workforce Commission is required to have this information posted by February 1, 2026, and the act will take effect on September 1, 2025.
