Notable accomplishments include the implementation of the Plan Portland 2040 Comprehensive Plan, a 5-year Capital Improvement Plan, a 30 percent minimum fund balance requirement, and a debt management policy aimed at ensuring long-term financial stability. Additionally, the city was recognized as the #1 Best Place to Raise a Family in the Corpus Christi Area by Niche.com in 2024.
