Senate Resolution No. 55 honors Burleson native Conner Lynn Prince for his remarkable achievement of winning a silver medal in the men's skeet shooting event at the Summer Olympic Games held in Paris in August 2024. Mr. Prince made an impressive Olympic debut at the Chateauroux Shooting Centre, where he equaled the qualification Olympic record by hitting 124 out of 125 shots. He advanced to the finals in first place and ultimately secured the silver medal with a score of 57 out of 60 shots, finishing just one point behind his coach, Vincent Hancock. Additionally, he participated in the skeet mixed team event, where he and his partner earned sixth place.
The resolution highlights Mr. Prince's dedication to the sport, which began during his time with the Centennial High School Spartan Clay Target Team, and his ongoing studies in manufacturing and industrial management at Tarleton State University. His accomplishments include winning two gold medals at the 2023 World Cup in Morocco and a gold medal at the 2019 Junior World Cup in Germany.
