Senate Resolution No. 48 honors the memory of Teresa Ann Bock Manning, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on January 31, 1932, in Roscoe, Minnesota, Teresa was the daughter of William and Kathryn Koppy Bock and grew up with three siblings. She married Laurence "Mick" Manning in 1952, and they shared over five decades together, raising six children and welcoming nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. After moving to Fort Worth in 1967, Teresa pursued a nursing career, earning her licensed vocational nurse license in 1974 and her registered nurse license in 1982. Following Mick's passing in 2003, she lived with her sister in Benbrook.
The resolution expresses heartfelt sympathy to Teresa's family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and acknowledges the impact she had on their lives. It concludes with a request for an official copy of the resolution to be prepared for her family and states that the Texas Senate will adjourn in her memory. The resolution was adopted by the Senate on February 18, 2025.
