Senate Resolution No. 46 honors the lives and enduring legacy of Frank Aulston Kelso and Alice Sue Boyle Kelso, a couple from Corpus Christi who shared nearly 70 years of marriage. Frank, born on September 20, 1936, and Alice, born on November 23, 1937, met at church and married young. They raised four children—Sheri, Frank, Keith, and Jo—and their family expanded to include seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Frank had a distinguished career as a game warden for the State of Texas, where he became a district supervisor, while Alice was known for her nurturing spirit and culinary skills.
The Kelsos passed away just days apart, with Frank dying on January 9, 2023, at the age of 86, and Alice following on January 13, 2023, at 85. Their deep devotion to one another and their contributions to their family and community are celebrated in this resolution, which expresses condolences to their loved ones and recognizes the inspiration they provided to those who knew them. The Texas Senate adopted this resolution on February 11, 2025, and it will be officially prepared for their family.
