The bill amends Section 58.093 of the Agriculture Code regarding the young farmer grant program. It establishes that the minimum grant amount will increase from $5,000 to $10,000, while the maximum grant amount will rise from $20,000 to $35,000.

The changes in grant amounts will apply to grants issued on or after the effective date of the Act, which is set for September 1, 2025. Grants issued prior to this date will continue to be governed by the previous law.
