H.B. No. 2061 designates a portion of State Highway 242 in Montgomery County as the Lance Corporal Armando Hernandez Memorial Bridge. The bill adds a new section, Section 225.254, to Subchapter B, Chapter 225 of the Transportation Code, which specifies that the structure on State Highway 242 that crosses over Interstate Highway 69 will bear this designation. This designation is intended to be in addition to any other existing designations.

Furthermore, the bill mandates the Texas Department of Transportation to design and construct markers that indicate the bridge's designation and to erect these markers at both ends of the highway as well as at appropriate intermediate sites along the route. The provisions of this Act are set to take effect on September 1, 2025, and it is noted that the 89th Legislature intends for any provisions added by this Act to be renumbered to avoid duplication.
