The resolution recognizes the Northeast Texas Regional Alliance, which comprises the counties of Bowie, Cass, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Morris, Red River, and Titus. This coalition is committed to enhancing the social and economic vitality of the region by focusing on key initiatives such as maintaining transportation infrastructure, advancing rural broadband access, and fostering innovation. The alliance also plays a crucial role in regional and workforce planning, job retention and creation, and promoting educational opportunities, while advocating for local colleges, universities, and recreational spaces that improve the quality of life.

To honor the contributions of the Northeast Texas Regional Alliance, the resolution designates February 19, 2025, as Northeast Texas Regional Alliance Day at the State Capitol. The House of Representatives expresses its appreciation for the alliance's efforts in making Northeast Texas a stronger and more vibrant community, and extends best wishes to the visiting delegation for a meaningful experience in Austin.
