The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is tasked with adopting rules to ensure the safety of individuals with disabilities during emergencies and will prioritize grant funding for institutions demonstrating the highest need. The provisions of this act will take effect beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year, with rules to be adopted by May 1, 2026.
