Additionally, the bill mandates that in the event of a natural disaster or emergency declared by the governor, electric utilities must provide the list of priority facilities to the Texas Division of Emergency Management. The submitted list will be confidential and exempt from disclosure under the Government Code. This legislation is set to take effect on September 1, 2025.
