S.B. No. 532 amends the Agriculture Code regarding the young farmer grant program by adjusting the minimum and maximum grant amounts. The bill stipulates that grants will now be no less than $10,000, an increase from the previous minimum of $5,000, and no more than $35,000, up from the previous maximum of $20,000.

The changes will apply to grants issued on or after the effective date of the Act, which is set for September 1, 2025. Grants issued before this date will continue to be governed by the previous law.
