The Midland Festival Ballet celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2023, marking three decades of contributions to the cultural landscape of West Texas. Founded in 1993 by Judy Coleman, the nonprofit ballet company began with 50 students and has since grown to serve over 150 students through its two studios. The company is known for its annual performances, including "The Nutcracker," and has produced numerous live performances, documentaries, and original works. It has also collaborated with local schools and libraries to provide free dance camps and performances, enhancing community engagement in the arts.

In recognition of its achievements, the Midland Festival Ballet has been designated as a Regional Dance America Honor Company and hosted the Regional Dance America/Southwest 2023 Festival. The Texas Legislature has passed a resolution commemorating the ballet company's milestone anniversary and extending best wishes for its future endeavors. An official copy of the resolution will be prepared as a token of appreciation from the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
