Additionally, the bill mandates that by September 1 of each year, the Texas Veterans Commission must prepare and submit a written report to the legislature's standing committees on veterans affairs. This report will include aggregated data from the previous year, an evaluation of that data, and any recommendations for legislative or other actions. The initial report is due by September 1, 2026, and the act will take effect on September 1, 2025.
