The bill also clarifies that a birth certificate's statement of biological sex is considered accurate only if it was recorded at or near the time of birth or modified to correct clerical errors.

Furthermore, the bill specifies that the new eligibility criteria do not prevent biological males from serving in roles such as coaches or support staff for female sports, as long as they are not competing. The act is set to take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds vote from both houses of the legislature; otherwise, it will take effect on September 1, 2025.
