Additionally, the bill introduces a new Subsection (c-1), which exempts district attorneys from this salary limitation if they serve in a judicial district that includes a county with a population of less than 400,000. This change aims to provide more flexibility in salary determinations for prosecutors in less populated areas. The bill is set to take effect on September 1, 2025.
