R E S O L U T I O N
|
 
|
             WHEREAS, Through his many personal and professional |
 
|
achievements, Aristeo L. Partida has greatly benefited his |
 
|
community and made a positive difference in the lives of others; and |
 
|
             WHEREAS, A native of Port Lavaca, Mr.  Partida was employed as |
 
|
a service technician with CenterPoint Energy for nearly four |
 
|
decades, before his retirement in 2020; during that time, he went |
 
|
above and beyond to perform his work as a first responder during |
 
|
emergencies such as Hurricane Harvey in August 2017; while his own |
 
|
family evacuated the area, he dutifully stayed behind and put his |
 
|
life at risk to ensure the safety of others; and |
 
|
             WHEREAS, Outside of his work in the natural gas industry, |
 
|
Mr.  Partida has made a name for himself as an award-winning |
 
|
barbeque pitmaster, and he has participated in cooking competitions |
 
|
and contributed his expertise to events benefiting local charitable |
 
|
organizations; and |
 
|
             WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr.  Partida enjoys the love |
 
|
and support of his wife of 48 years, Cynthia Partida, and their two |
 
|
daughters and five grandchildren, who have brought him tremendous |
 
|
joy in his golden years; and |
 
|
             WHEREAS, Throughout his life, Aristeo Partida has generously |
 
|
devoted himself to his family, his profession, and his community, |
 
|
and he is a source of inspiration to all those who are privileged to |
 
|
know him; now, therefore, be it |
 
|
             RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 4th |
 
|
Called Session, hereby honor Aristeo L. Partida for his |
 
|
professional accomplishments and his service to his community and |
 
|
extend sincere best wishes to him and his loved ones; and, be it |
 
|
further |
 
|
             RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
 
|
prepared for Mr.  Partida as an expression of high regard by the |
 
|
Texas Senate. |
