R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Tristin Parker of Winnie was recently named the 2023 |
|
|
Resistol Rookie of the Year in bull riding; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Resistol rookie bull riding leader, Mr. Parker |
|
|
is currently ranked eighth overall in the PRCA world standings with |
|
|
more than $150,000 in earnings; over the past year, he has won a |
|
|
number of competitions, including the Xtreme Bulls Tour in Grand |
|
|
Island, Nebraska, the Crockett Lions Club PRCA Rodeo, the World's |
|
|
Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, Arizona, and the Pasadena Livestock Show & |
|
|
Rodeo, and he was named cochampion at the Dixie National Rodeo in |
|
|
Jackson, Mississippi, and the Sheridan WYO Rodeo in Sheridan, |
|
|
Wyoming; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Parker's exemplary record of success has earned |
|
|
him a spot at the National Finals Rodeo, which is taking place in |
|
|
Las Vegas, Nevada, from December 7 through December 16, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Tristin Parker is a source of great pride to his |
|
|
family and community, and he is indeed deserving of this |
|
|
prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Tristin |
|
|
Parker on being named the 2023 Resistol Rookie of the Year in bull |
|
|
riding and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
at the National Finals Rodeo; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Parker as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
