H.R. No. 61
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
       WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort
those saddened by the death of Armando Ramirez Gonzalez Sr. of
Robstown on November 1, 2023, at the age of 78; and
       WHEREAS, Also known as "Tambor," Armando Gonzalez was born to
Antonio Gonzalez and Ramona Ramirez Gonzalez on December 27, 1944,
in Robstown and grew up sharing in the companionship of four
siblings, Ruben, Adriana, Alma, and Imelda; answering his nation's
call to duty, he was a proud veteran of the Texas Army National
Guard; and
       WHEREAS, Mr. Gonzalez worked as a drywaller and painter, and
he took an active role in his community as a member of the
Debonnaires Social Club and St. Anthony Catholic Church; a former
semiprofessional baseball player, he was an avid fan of Robstown
Early College High School sports; he also enjoyed fishing in his
leisure hours; and
       WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Gonzalez was deeply devoted to
his family, including his wife, Olivia, his children, Antonio,
Roxana, and Armando, and his grandchildren, Olivia, Antonio,
Sophia, Filomena, Adelina, and Joaquin; and
       WHEREAS, Although Armando Gonzalez will be deeply missed,
those who were privileged to share in his love and friendship will
always remember him with great admiration and affection; now,
therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
Armando Ramirez Gonzalez Sr. and extend sincere condolences to the
members of his family: to his wife, Olivia Benavides Gonzalez; to
his children, Antonio B. Gonzalez and his wife, Belinda, Roxana G.
Peralez and her husband, Jose, and Armando B. Gonzalez Jr. and his
wife, Marisela; to his grandchildren, Olivia Fatima Peralez,
Antonio Cesar Gonzalez, Sophia Teresa Gonzalez, Filomena Sol
Peralez, Adelina Grace Gonzalez, and Joaquin Armando Gonzalez; and
to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Armando
Gonzalez.
