H.R. No. 41
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
       WHEREAS, Brent Dorman, a beloved member of the Centerville
community and a friend to many, passed away on November 6, 2023, at
the age of 49; and
       WHEREAS, The son of Larry and Dale Dorman, Brent Dorman was
born in Crockett on September 18, 1974; he grew up with the
companionship of a brother, Bart, and he graduated from Centerville
High School; and
       WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Leon County, Mr. Dorman was
known for his expertise in ranching and horse training; he
possessed a remarkable ability to understand animals, and through
the years, he partnered with his father in working with horses and
cattle; his love of the outdoors was also evident in his passion for
fishing, especially in his younger years, when he spent many hours
on the water; and
       WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Dorman enjoyed the love
and support of his wife, Jennifer; he was the devoted father of two
children, Kyle and Kadence, and he also took great pride in his two
stepchildren, Hailee and Saidee; with the passage of time, he
experienced the joy of welcoming two grandchildren, Clayton and
Corinne, into the family; and
       WHEREAS, Mr. Dorman was a member of the Cowboy Church of Leon
County, and he took great solace in singing with the church band and
sharing in the fellowship of the congregation; and
       WHEREAS, Brent Dorman embraced the values of hard work and
integrity, and he leaves behind a legacy of resilience, kindness,
and good humor that will long be treasured by those who held him
dear; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
Brent Dorman and extend deepest condolences to the members of his
family: to his wife, Jennifer Dorman; to his parents, Larry and Dale
Dorman; to his brother and sister-in-law, Bart and Sherry Dorman;
to his children, Kyle Dorman and Kadence Dorman; to his
stepdaughters, Hailee Aguilar and Saidee Castillo; to his
grandchildren, Clayton and Corinne Aguilar; to his niece, Maggie
Reid; to his nephew, Marcus Dorman; to his great-niece and
great-nephew, Larryn and Laith Reid; to his cherished friend,
Michael Weaver; and to all who mourn his passing; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Brent
Dorman.
