H.R. No. 38
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
       WHEREAS, Senior Access, a nonprofit organization dedicated
to providing transportation and other essential services to senior
citizens in the Austin area, celebrated the 30th anniversary of its
founding on November 9, 2023; and
       WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1993, Senior Access has
greatly enhanced the quality of life of older Texans residing in
Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, Manor, and East Austin by helping
them to maintain their independence and remain in their homes for as
long as possible; and
       WHEREAS, With a team of dedicated volunteers and staff,
Senior Access offers personal transportation for medical
appointments and errands, assistance with household repairs and
chores, and other support services; it serves as a lifeline to area
Texans who might otherwise be homebound or require residential
care, and it has continuously evolved and expanded its programming
to meet the needs of the local senior community; and
       WHEREAS, Over the past three decades, Senior Access has
helped countless seniors to navigate the challenges of aging with
dignity and peace of mind, and all those associated with the
organization are deserving of recognition for their selfless
commitment to the well-being of their neighbors; now, therefore, be
it
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor Senior Access on the
occasion of its 30th anniversary and extend to its staff and
volunteers sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
