H.R. No. 24

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Ben Lai has ably served his fellow Texans as an
	intern in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during
	the fall of 2023; and
	WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Lai has provided vital
	assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as
	creating content and graphics for social media, drafting
	correspondence with constituents and stakeholders, conducting
	background research, analyzing legislation, and assisting with
	preparations for floor debates and committee hearings; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Lai is a junior at The University of Texas at
	Austin, where he is studying government and Spanish, and he has
	further distinguished himself as a Dell Scholar and a recipient of
	the Texas Excellence scholarship; moreover, he is an undergraduate
	research apprentice and has previously served as a messenger for
	the Texas Senate, as a policy and research intern for the Texas
	Workforce Commission, and as a technical assistant for the Moody
	College of Communication; and
	WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his
	duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is
	indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
	therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
	Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Ben Lai for his
	service as a legislative intern in the office of State
	Representative Chris Turner and extend to him sincere best wishes
	for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. Lai as an expression of high regard by the Texas
	House of Representatives.
