A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to an appropriation for the construction of the Juneteenth |
|
|
Museum in Fort Worth. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION TO TEXAS HISTORICAL COMMISSION. |
|
|
The amount of $14,000,000 is appropriated from the general revenue |
|
|
fund to the Texas Historical Commission for use during the state |
|
|
fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2025, for the construction of the |
|
|
Juneteenth Museum in Fort Worth. |
|
|
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act takes effect |
|
|
immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members |
|
|
elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas |
|
|
Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for |
|
|
immediate effect, this Act takes effect on the 91st day after the |
|
|
last day of the legislative session. |
