R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lawn Fitzpatrick served his country with great honor |
|
|
and distinction as a member of the United States military, and he is |
|
|
being recognized for his contributions at the Clint Veterans Day |
|
|
Celebration on November 11, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Originally celebrated as Armistice Day in |
|
|
recognition of the end of World War I, Veterans Day now honors all |
|
|
who have served in the armed forces, including the former members of |
|
|
the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast |
|
|
Guard, and National Guard; by upholding America's foundational |
|
|
values of selflessness and sacrifice, they have helped ensure that |
|
|
our country's promise will endure for generations to come; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Lawn |
|
|
Fitzpatrick served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a specialist 4; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Demonstrating exemplary dedication, Lawn |
|
|
Fitzpatrick upheld the highest ideals of the U.S. armed forces |
|
|
during his years in uniform, and his fellow citizens owe him a |
|
|
lasting debt of gratitude; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Lawn Fitzpatrick for |
|
|
his military service on the occasion of the 2023 Clint Veterans Day |
|
|
Celebration and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Fitzpatrick as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
