R E S O L U T I O N
|
 
|
             WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |
 
|
meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends |
 
|
of Reynaldo Molina III of La Casita, who passed away on August 4, |
 
|
2018, at the age of 29; and |
 
|
             WHEREAS, The son of Reynaldo Molina Jr. and Esenia Bazan, |
 
|
"Rey Rey" Molina was born on May 20, 1989; he graduated from Rio |
 
|
Grande City High School in 2007; and |
 
|
             WHEREAS, Mr.  Molina received his peace officer license from |
 
|
the Laredo College Regional Law Enforcement Academy in 2010; he |
 
|
went on to earn an associate's degree in criminal justice from South |
 
|
Texas College in 2015 and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice |
 
|
from Lamar University in 2017, and he distinguished himself in his |
 
|
work as an investigator for the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office; |
 
|
and |
 
|
             WHEREAS, At the time of his death, Mr.  Molina was employed by |
 
|
Sharyland High School in Mission as a criminal justice teacher; |
 
|
passionate about education and his career field, he also served as |
 
|
an adviser for the school's criminal justice club, and he created a |
 
|
nurturing and supportive learning environment for his students, |
 
|
inspiring some to continue their studies in criminal justice; a |
 
|
kind and caring man, he was beloved for his optimism and strength of |
 
|
character, and he made a lasting difference in his community; and |
 
|
             WHEREAS, Although his journey on this earth ended far too |
 
|
soon, Reynaldo Molina will forever be remembered with great |
 
|
admiration and affection, and his dedication to his family, his |
 
|
students, and his fellow educators will continue to serve as an |
 
|
inspiration to all who knew him; now, therefore, be it |
 
|
             RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
 
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |
 
|
Reynaldo Molina III and extend deepest condolences to the members |
 
|
of his family: to his mother, Esenia Bazan; to his father, Reynaldo |
 
|
Molina Jr., and his wife, Nancy Molina; to his sister, Alissa |
 
|
Molina; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
 
|
             RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
 
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
 
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Reynaldo |
 
|
Molina. |
