H.R. No. 68
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
       WHEREAS, Dr. John Redman of Chambers Health has set an
inspiring example by participating in nine medical mission trips to
five different countries; and
       WHEREAS, A board-certified physician, Dr. Redman practices
family and emergency medicine at Chambers Health, where he serves
patients in the Anahuac area; beyond the scope of his work at the
clinic, he has traveled to Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador,
and Moldova to provide medical care to people in need; and
       WHEREAS, Last September, Dr. Redman was part of a team with
Global Health Outreach, a short-term international missions
program that visited Nicaragua for a week to perform a variety of
health care services for underserved residents; the team treated
approximately 900 patients of all ages, to whom they provided
medical and dental care, medications, and even reading glasses at
no cost; members of the group even ventured into the mountains to
deliver medications and a walker to a patient who was unable to
travel to their temporary clinic; and
       WHEREAS, By sharing his time and expertise to serve people
across the globe, Dr. John Redman has demonstrated the strength of
his commitment to helping others, and he is truly deserving of
special recognition; now, therefore, be it
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Dr. John Redman for
taking part in overseas medical mission trips and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success with his important work;
and, be it further
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Redman as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
