               SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 36
            
                   WHEREAS, Aedan McLennan participated in the National Rural 
         
            Electric Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth 
         
            Tour during the summer of 2023; and
         
                   WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the 
         
            Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Mr. McLennan joined some 1,500 
         
            students from around the country for an all-expenses-paid trip to 
         
            Washington, D.C.; in the course of the program, he learned about 
         
            U.S. history and government, met with local political 
         
            representatives, and toured various historic sites, such as 
         
            Capitol Hill, the U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington National 
         
            Cemetery; and
         
                   WHEREAS, A freshman at Texas Tech University, this bright 
         
            young Texan is currently pursuing studies in business 
         
            administration; and
         
                   WHEREAS, Aedan McLennan has distinguished himself as a 
         
            young leader of great promise, and he may indeed take justifiable 
         
            pride in participating in this exciting experience; now, 
         
            therefore, be it
         
                   RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th 
         
            Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Aedan 
         
            McLennan on taking part in the 2023 National Rural Electric 
         
            Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend 
         
            to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         
                   RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be 
         
            prepared for Mr. McLennan as an expression of high regard by the 
         
            Texas Senate.
